Mares Octo Question

Sorry if this has been asked before... do the Mares octos use a different stiffness poppet spring (stiffer?) than the standard 2nd's to acheive a higher cracking effort, or is the difference strictly "tuning" (demand lever height adjustment)?

The octos & 2nd's I'm intrested in are the Abyss, Proton and Rebel.

They are the same, the differences are tuning and color. Note the adjustments are not exclusively demand lever height.
