Mares Icon HD: Using Maps

I searched the owners manual and the internet and could not find what I'm looking for.

When using Mares Icon HD Maps, does it plot your location as your diving or is it just a map. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

It is a static map to be used as an image of reference. Until we figure out how to get GPS through the water column, we are looking at a map.

Thanks for the info. That was my assumptiom. GPS through water will be nice. Hope it will happen sooner than later.
