Help

I have recently purchases a Mares Dragon AT and while browsing through the owners manual it specifically says not to dive nitrox with this BCD. I have been diving for ten years now and have never seen such a thing. I will switch between air and nitrox up to 40%EAN. all the time.
Please if anyone can better explain why or if I have to be concerned

Please help

Someone can correct me but I recall back when I was considering Mares equipment that, because it is a European company, the gear (regulator, BC, whatever) had to be compatible with 100% Oxygen to be "approved for Nitrox", - something to do with European guidelines.

Besides, the manual (page 23 from Mares.com) says:
"For North America only
Mares regulators, alternative second stages, and gas delivery
components are designed for and compatible with open circuit SCUBA
using compressed air or enriched air (Nitrox) mixtures not exceeding
40% Oxygen ON LY
.
These limits conform to the DAN Nitrox Industry Workshop Proceedings
of November, 2000.
Failure to follow this warning may result in SERIOUS IN JUR Y or
DEAT H to the user due to fire, explosion, or the deterioration or
failure of the equipment."

OK, NONE THE LESS MY OWNERS MANUAL 2011 REQUIRES A COMPLETE CHANGE OVER WHEN DIVING AIR OR NITROX, ALSO STATING THAT IT MUST BE DONE BY A CERT. MARES TECH.
(this was not specified when I was researching before purchase)
I APPRECIATE YOUR RESPONSE

IT IS JUST FRUSTRATING AFTER $650. AND READING THAT, I AM OPEN TO ALL POSTS PLEASE

Is this the BCD you have?

With this BCD you can use Nitrox up 40%. Re-refer to the manual again it's stated there. If you want to use over 40% Nitrox you'll need the mares kit to be installed. This kit will allow you to use 40% and above safely.

Excellent! BCD enjoy.

That is it, thank you for your help
I am taking my advanced Nitrox this August in Florida, do you convert back and forth when diving over 40%EAN?
Thanks again
