Hey what is the difference between the old style and new "completely redesigned" mares abyss. I can see the purge and cover are different but does anyone have any insight.:confused:
 
I would like to know too. I've been wanting a Mares Abyss for quite a while (either that or an Atomics) and now that I'm getting back some $$$ from taxes and can actually get something I'm thinking about the Abyss more and more.

What is the difference?

I don't know there is any difference, but I will tell you I own one and have been diving for a couple of years on it without any thought of changing. A very fine piece of equiptment on air or nitrox at any depth.
 
Hey guys,

There is no difference other than the cover. Technically with the new cover design and mesh grid (holes in the cover). Water will transfer through the cover with less resistance resulting in a slightly easier breathing regulator as well as less influence of current on the purge button.
