Has sea star wasting returned? In Southern California they are slowly making a comeback.

It's still around. I still see seastars with it, but I've also seen a few small-medium sized sunflower stars (the hardest-hit species) that seem to be doing ok in the last year. There's still nowhere near the amount and diversity of seastars that we had before the disease hit.
I've only found juvenile sunflower stars here but the bat stars and knobby stars have returned close to their levels from three years ago.
