I have the Canon HF200 and the Canon WPV1 case. As I understand it, the "underwater mode" does not do MWB (I have yet to take the camera underwater so this is just based on what I've read/heard on SB but I'm pretty sure that's tyrue).

The camera does have an MWB function, but I don't believe that control is available in the WPV1 case.

Can anyone with this combination (HF200 and WPV1) offer any advice as to the best course of action?

I do not have any lights - yet. I'm currently investigating my options for that (recommendations welcome on that, too - although any lighting gear I but needs to be optimized for travel - compact & light, and not terribly complex/expensive).

I will be diving in tropical waters with good viz (at least I hope the viz is good), in daylight (not planning shooting any on night dives).

Specific question: to what extent does the MWB question become less critical with good lights?

Thanks.
