Mantis Hunting

While night diving in Crazy Zoo, Dampier Strait, Raja Ampat, Indonesia, on 27 February 2024, we saw this Flamboyant Cuttlefish taking advantage of our dive light to hunt mantis shrimp.

I was trying to figure out, if I were very small myself, how desperately hungry I'd have to be to hunt mantis shrimp. Nice video!

If the Flambo is 2-3”, that’s a pretty small mantis shrimp. Cool video!
