Hello. I am hoping to dive around March 13-17 in either Yonaguni or Ishigaki. I am really hoping to see the infamous mantas or hammerheads. Does anyone know if this is a good season to find these creatures? And could you recommend other dive sights in Okinawa during this time?
Thanks

March is not the best season for mantas in Ishigaki. A little latter in the spring is better. This would be the last month of hammerheads in Yonaguni. We have had good luck during March in the last two years with hammerheads. Off the main island of Okinawa its also season for humpback whales, usually sited on the surface not diving but still quite spectacular between dives.
