I decided to jump on the reg necklace bandwagon and got a couple of Mantas for my wife/buddy and I. It seems like a very sensible way to stow your second reg.

I'm having problems with the reg popping out though. I think it is because when I am suited up I have a really thick neck and there isn't much slack-- I wear a compressed neoprene drysuit, with folded-over neoprene neck seal, plus a hood over that. So, the mouthpiece keeps getting bumped when I look down and eventually it pops out.

My wife, who has a smaller neck to start with and a latex neck seal, didn't have a problem with her Manta. I think I am going to switch to a DIY bungee though, as on this page:

Anyone else tackle this problem? Maybe it's operator error.

I'm pretty certain the Manta necklace comes in a couple of different sizes. I bought one at a LDS and they had a few different sizes/circumferences on the rack.

Aha, that would make sense; sizes weren't mentioned when I bought mine. Thanks.

I got mine and it is too thick around the reg mouth piece. Makes it difficult to get a "bite" when using the reg. Think I'll stick with shock cord.

Also, I've never had my reg pop out in the water using bungee. To be extra secure, zip-tie it.

While I do love my Manta Reel.
I think I'll just stick with my ol' bungy necklace.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
