I'm looking at a set of manifolded steel HP 100s on craigslist. I'm not entirely sure the price is all that good, though. What would you pay for a set of doubles that need hydro and viz? What would be a "fair" price? I believe these tanks are ~$375 each new and they're listed at $280 with the manifold and bands but I've got to figure another $100 for hydro and viz, another $60 for O2 cleaning (don't get me started). At that price I'm at some $450 or so for two single tanks, if I don't have to buy new valves. Worth it?

Ok, gotta ask, why O2 clean back gas?

But, that seems like a decent price.

I have 120's in hydro for $500. That's a fair price for used steel doubles. I'm not going to guess why you're PP blending the back gas.... Even if the manifolds and bands are of no use to you, they still have significant value. $350 new, they are still worth $200 used...

The only reason for O2 cleaning is I've been to a shop in FL that PPblend their nitrox and won't fill with EAN unless O2 clean. Of course I could just avoid the shop in question. Other than that no reason.

Frank, I meant to ask you in our most recent exchange whether or not you blend Nitrox or bank it on the boat...

Thanks to both of you for the responses. I thought it was reasonable and I was figuring I could re-sell the bands and manifold to recoup some of my money but don't really want to overpay...

New, bands are 100-150, manifold 150-300. You could get approx $200.

Membrane produced and banked. It's the only way to fly, for a boat.

So maybe no O2 cleaning after all... save me even more money :D

Picked up the tanks for $250. I'll take them in for hydro next week and sell the bands and manifold once I get them cleaned up. Thanks for the advice folks.
