I am considering another holiday just before the end of the year (beginning of December maybe). I was thinking about the Maledives....
What is recommendable and What can I expect to see?
Looking forward to your tips and stories...

Go on a dive safari to Ari Atoll where you may see manta rays and whalesharks.

There are a wide variety of safari boats available if you search the internet.

Maldives are famous for the big ones: sharks, mantas, maori wrasse, tuna, jackfish, turtles; if you're very lucky, also whale sharks... The corals have been damaged to a big extent during the last El Nino but if you go on a liveaboard you can pick the best and undamaged reefs.

I guess, a lot of areas have also recovered since 1998 - when I was there the last time in 2000, you could see a lot of small corals growing already...
