What would the water temperatures be around the Maldives in November?

Is it a good season to dive there?

Looking to dive at Hulhumale for the "Shark Tank" and Maafushi island after that.

Never been in November, but my most recent trips in June and December both averaged 29-30, maybe a degree cooler at 30 metres. Visibility is generally at its best around Nov/Dec.

Shorty or 1mm wetsuit should suffice. Hulhumale water can be murky as there is a lot of runoff from the city drains into the ocean waters nearby.

On my trip there, I wasn’t comfortable being around Tiger Sharks in such murky conditions… add Bull Sharks to the mix to further bump the anxiety levels … pics and videos didn’t come out well either. Fuvamulah on the other hand … so nice being so remote …

I just arrived last night in Male. Immigration lass was very strict on seeing all my accomodation bookings and return flights back home.

She asked why I had filled in Singapore as my point of departure and I said you dont have my home country listed on your immigration website. What country is that she asks? I'm like you have my passport in your hand look at the front cover. Oh she says Taiwan. Then says I cannot find Taiwan on our computers lol. I replied neither could I. She was not amused. Do you have other passports she asks as she sees I was born in Australia. I reply I have Australian and Irish passports. She asks did you bring them and if so can I see them.

Sure ( I had brought them ) Then she says all three passports have different names in them. I'm like sure of course. She replies she has to use a passport matching the name on my immigration declaration. I reply will thats my Taiwan passport. lol

Anyway all pretty quick. Immigration had around 12 counters with immigration staff even at 11:30pm at night when my flight arrived. I flew business class and my checked in was the first out. Cleared immigration and walked out in around 5 minutes. My hotel people with a sign for the airport pick up. My dive buddy from UK arrives around 11:3am to airport. Then our flight to Fiv Island got put back to 8pm from 1:40pm so need to find something to do.

We fly a Dash 8 and dive shop said they are very strict with 5kg hand carry. I used a soft back pack and can get my carry to 5kg. 3.6kg if I stuff some batteries in my short pockets. Might need to help my buddy as he has 8kg hand carry. Watching planes fly into the airport from 9th floor breakfast at the hotel.

Not great visibility today... saw a larger Eagle ray, some white tips, and this 4.6m Tiger name Rose.
Well known and she does approach divers but does not charge them.
