Hi,
I went on the Maldives scuba tours liveaboard 'Sea Spirit' last year and had a great time, nice boat (not overly luxurious but still very pleasant), good food and fantastic guides. Saw plenty of mantas and three whalesharks, would definitely recommend them. Best time seems to be Jan through to April.
