Maldives Four Season Explorer and diving in the Maldives

I am interested in going on the Four Seasons Explorer sometime this summer. I have heard mixed reviews about the weather this time, etc. Has anyone been diving in the maldives at this time? How was the weather? Viz and Sealife? I would really like to see some giant schooling mantas and whale sharks. Anyone been on the Four Seasons Explorer? If so, how was that? Any suggestions on the best time to go? Anything in particular we should do or see? Thanks!

Depending on what side of Maldives you dive.

Ari Atoll has mantas starting from January and whale sharks pretty much year round but they tend to disappear for a month every so often.

NE maldives has the mantas starting around May.

Baa Atoll and divesite Hanifaru is by far and away the best spot for regular manta schooling- in the season of course. Enquire with some dive centers in the area
