Maldives - central route in the middle of May?

I`m going to have liveaboard on the central route on Maldives in 7-14 of May.
I know that there is not top time, but what is the weather usually at that season? Rains, winds, rough sea? Or it usually sun and quiet sea?

We did the Best of Maldives once in early May and another North type route, also in early May. One both occasions we spent another 5 or so days, once in a resort near Male and another in a guesthouse in South ArI Atoll.

On both liveaboards there was amost no rain during the day. On both land based weeks it earned nonstop, and was pretty miserable. The diving on both trips was excellent, plenty of mantas and the seas were OK.

Liveaboards can, generally, dodge very bad weather. You should be OK.

I booked Soliel 2, but it was 1 month before the war.... Feeling like it was in a different life...
Now russians bombing our cities by missles and bombs.... Everything changed....
