Similar to the Ronald McDonald House, the Fisher House assists American service men and women who have been wounded in battle. TheFisher House buys and maintains properties near military hospitals, thus allowing the families of the wounded soldiers to stay with them in their time of need. I was fortunate enough to meet the people at The Fisher House, located near Walter Reed Hospital and they are some of the finest people I have ever met and they work very hard to maintain a five star rating among charitable organizations.
