Some of you have the pleasure of knowing and diving with Divetech's own Kim Hanlon. Along with the outstanding dive guide skills, comes her wonderful Irish wit.

Her latest writing for the Divetech blog, is an article called "Making The Most Out Of A Long Weekend." Since Cayman is close enough to make long weekend trips a realistic proposition, this is Kim's guide on how to maximize the amount of Cayman fun you can have over a 4-day trip.

Some of us might be interested if Divetech had a convenient 4 day dive/hotel/food/drink package available for sale (especially that shangri-la place).. nudge nudge wink wink.

Everything on your website seems to be for 7 days only.

Very valuable information, thanks for sharing!

Thanks for pointing that out. Those prices on our website are just sample prices for 7-day packages. Mostly what we do is custom packages for any length of time our customers want, but your comment shows me now how unclear that is on our website. I'll have to re-word our website to that effect.

Cayman, for what it's worth, has more separation between its accommodations and dive operations. With the exception of Reef Divers, Ocean Frontiers and Sunset House, the remaining 25 or so dive ops (including us) are independent. While we have accommodations onsite at Lighthouse Point, these are privately owned condos, some of which are in short term rental for our use.

We do offer 'packages' for those who just want an all-in-one service, but the truth is that many people can find better deals than our negotiated rates using travel website's hotel searches, or AirBNB now that it is allowed on the island. Which is fine with us, we prefer to handle just the diving!
