Major trouble turning Sola 600 on underwater

Turns on fine above water but takes several mins of dicking with it to get it to turn on underwater. This started on the second trip.. it's got 3 trips on it (80 dives) and is about 18 months old. I am diligent about rinsing it after every dive.. there's no problem with the switch.. no dirt in it, etc.. it charges fine.. and works every time above water.

I've opened a ticket with L&M but have had no reply... that was several weeks ago.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
