Before going away to Cancun :grinbandit: I used this board to search for recommended dive ops, so having just come back from completing my OW and advanced OW in Cancun last week I thought I'd leave my feedback for others.

We had an excellent time with Karl and his guys at Mayan Aqua Dive (MAD), and strongly recommend them.

Before we went out there communication was first class with prompt responses to e-mails, we were offered a variety of options for receiving course materials beforehand, prices were very competitive and they were happy to arrange dates to suit our trip including a Sunday morning start. When we arrived, MAD provided transport which picked us up from, and dropped us off to our hotel each day at no extra cost and was always there on time.

Ratio of instructors/divemasters to students was excellent with Karl dedicating himself to looking after just 3 of us for the whole week. On the boat there were always at least 1 divemaster per 3 divers and the boat was never crowded. Over the course of a week and 10 dives, the size of the boat varied from between 2 to 7 divers. Water and (Karl's personal stache of cookies) available after every dive.

Dived lots of different reefs including Chitales, Manchones, Punta Negra, Santramerio, Gran Pin, Labandera, Horseshoe as well as my first wreck dive; C58, which was awsome :)

Overall very relaxed atmosphere focused on diving, with admin and sales and all the rest of the peripheral stuff kept to an absolute minimum. I happily recommend them and will dive with them again the next time I'm in Cancun.

Cheers guys :coke:
