My dive today: macaulaypoint
I once saw a couple of divers walking up the boat ramp there. That was back in my fishing days. I called out "get anything?"
Lots of those pictures look like the sea lions were hanging motionless in front of my camera, but actually they were charging around all over the place. I'd try and point the camera in their general direction, click the shutter and hope for the best. Most of the pictures I quietly tucked away in a corner of my computer since they're just a blurry flipper or shapeless portion of a sea lion body smeared across the lens. I don't know what I'd do without big memory cards.Nice to see you back. The board is pretty quite when you are gone. Love the pictures from San Diego, looks like the seals are posing for you.
Pretty much (I assume you're talking about the sea lions at the Coronados). They were all over the place in the shallows, but even 60 feet deep, there was usually one or two dive-bombing me.Did they follow you around for the whole dive?
No. I think that's a piece of driftwood. I've never seen sealions hauling out around Victoria other than at Race Rocks and Trial Island. In the pics of the rocks just above the fortifications pictures is that a sea lion sitting there?
