I was diving off the West coast of Ireland today when we spotted A large Lumpsucker in about 8 meters of water. I always though that Lumpsuckers lived in deeper water (upto 200 meters) and only came in to shallower water to spawn between March and early May when the water is cooler and more like what they,re used to! the strange thing is that there was a trigger fish spotted on the same reef (about 20 feet away) just a week ago, trigger fish will only come this far north in unusually warm conditions!? Has any one else spotted any unusual visitors off the coasts recently?
