Can anyone please help me with figuring out when the "low" season is in Cozumel? Specifically the fewest divers but still with usually reasonable conditions? Thanks.
Good question - I'd like to know as well...

The locals call it the low season between May and November. Thanksgiving being the start of high season. The reason being it's hot and hurricane season starts up. Those are the months I usually go.

I've gotten some really great package deals up til the first two weeks of Dec. Still great conditions. Starts to get more expensive the week before Christmas.

Yea, this goes for any Carribean destination...the hot months are the "off" season. Go in the summer...

I went in Mid January last year, and it wasn't crowded at all. good prices if I remember right. I think there is a small window right after the Christmas holidays and carnival time where prices briefly drop.

I've found the same thing. We generally plan our boys dive trip for January to take advantage of the lull.

YOU ARE OFFICIALLY HOOKED! Thinking about going back, are we? It says something about Cozumel that a couple of divers from WA are willing to travel, from what most of us would consider a dream dive destination, halfway around the world.

Repeat after me:

"Hello, my name is Alcina and I'm a Cozumeloholic. I haven't had a dive in Cozumel in ???? days."

Hello, Alcina. Welcome to the group.

As others have said, the slowest season in Cozumel is our summer (August/Sept). It's hot and hurricane season, but less crowded and cheaper.

Best,
a fellow addict
