Hi, we are not scuba divers but love to snorkel. We are heading to the Mayan area in Feb and are looking for places to snorkel without joining a tour. Would love to ar of any fun and intesting places to go.
 
When you say "mayan area" are you talking about the Mayan Riviera? If so check out Akumal and Xel Ha just south of Playa del Carmen.
