If you must keep the camera please please leave the SD card at the Blue Angel for Anne and George. It has irreplaceable pics of of our granddaughters. It has a foldout handle and a lens array with red and macro.

No "real" diver who finds your GoPro is going to keep it. The key is the first video you record should be you telling your name and email address followed by your hotel and your dive op. Do that and lots of GoPros lost by divers have a way of making their way back to their owners. No need to offer rewards - just pay shipping for whoever finds it and contacts you if it is found after you've departed the island. If found while you are still on the island, they often get dropped off at your dive op to be picked up you.

Given the opportunity most divers are pretty honest.

One important question. Was it set so it would float or sink if it got away? If it would float it's not likely on that reef.

still missing after 2 weeks. Devastated by the loss of the SD card in particular. Family pics and memories recipes etc.Lost on Cedral-Has a folding handle and flip lenses. If you find it please drop off the SD at the Blue Angel for Anne and George.

We're planning to dive there this afternoon. We'll keep an eye out for it. Keep your fingers crossed!

In addition to putting a "this camera belongs to..." frame as the first file on the card, my wife is obsessive about downloading the contents of her camera memory card every day when we are on vacation. I would also post sage advice about the inadvisability of having only one copy of valuable files and carrying them around with you into places where you could easily lose them, but you have already learned it the hard way. I learned it the hard way as well, just as a lot of us do.

Well...we just got back from Paso del Cedral & didn't see it. I told the diver master as well & he kept his eye out. Maybe he'll stumble across it on a future dive. Sorry! :-(
