Location
Napa, Ca.
Let hear about your recommendations for inexpensive accomodations especially those that are near groceries or markets; also places that have or tollerate out door cooking.

Also I am getting a refer from a dive shop in Napa, Ca. I still need to do my open water dives, and would like a recommendation for an Instructor that can really teach me a thing or two.

What should I bring, things that are not easy to come by or are quite expensive? Going to be there in May for 2 perhaps 3 weeks. Planning on about 7-8 days of diving.

Thanks for your input, looking forward to see this awesome spectacle.

Groceries on Roatan may end up costing you as much as eating at restaurants. Keep this thought in mind when you plan your BBQ vacation....

Will (Bay Island Diver) is our favorite instructor. Period. On Roatan, or anywhere else. Get in touch with him, and if he is going to be on Roatan while you are there get him to do your training. If he's not available, go down to Coconut Tree Divers and talk with Gay or Tree - they'll get you squared away and treat you right. While you are a student (checkout dives or any other classes) you can also rent a dormitory (A/C) room from them for $5/night. The room is a dorm room, nothing fancy, but it has A/C and costs less than a six pack of beer per night. You can also get lunch from Josie who stops by Coconut Tree a few times per day - she cooks everything at home and makes some of the best meals on the island. It's been two months since we got back from our last trip and I still find myself daydreaming about her incredible cinnamon rolls!

Awesome, I will be there on the 5th, I am almost certain. I will get a hold of Will, and see if he is going to be on Roatan for that two weeks ( May2 - May16 ).

I see you are going to be there on May 5th, that happens to be my Birthday, Perhaps we will run into each other. I will be certain to have some nice tequilla and cold beer on hand.

I'll be partying at Sundowners on May 10th. If you bring a printout of any of my posts here on Scubaboard your first beer is on me. I'll probably be there just about every evening at some point - it's the perfect gathering place prior to dinner and heavy drinking.

We'll be diving with Coconut Tree Divers. If you dive with them you'll see me around. Ask Tree, PJ, or Gay - they all know me and my wife.

Awesome Undefined, we will be there 5th-19(4th-20th) actually, but those are travel days so.. we are staying in the west end so, we will see you at sundowner.
