I have the opportunity to purchase used an Oceanic BCD and regulator (3500) for $650. The items have been used 1x. I am concerned about purchasing something like this used however, they have hardly been used.

Is this a good price and is it a prudent to purchase used. Certified 1.5 years and have only dove warm water and plan to continue diving only warm water.

Opinions please.

Gear should be checked out by tech at a LDS.That alone can boost the cost another $100.+
Good starting point for used gear should be 50% of what it cost brand new,and negotiate down from that..Even if only used 1 time. Realize that if you do not know what the value of equipment is you can end up paying more for it after maintaining it than if you purchased new.
Look up from an online dealer or get price from a LDS for brand new gear, same model as the offered used gear and make you decisions that way.
