Hi

My wife and I have only been diving for a little while and are looking to dive on a budget. I know that might be hard but we would like to get two used or new weight integrated size medium BCDs for under $450. I haven't had much luck because ebay sellers seem to want way to much for them.

Any suggestions or offers would be great appreciated!

Have you checked the scubaboard classifieds? There are alot of almost new bcds listed there for good prices. Find one you interested in an make a offer, maybe you'll get it.

I bought both of our BC's from people on the classified section here.
Very happy with both.:D Try posting a WTB (Want to Buy) and do a little searching.

Don't let older posts scare you off from asking if they are still for sale either.

Also for other stuff the guys at scubatoys treated me great. Hope that plug is allowed.

Hmm ok I have looked on the classifieds but haven't found much some of the prices are to high. I will try looking back a ways and sending some of them some messages.

...places I've had good luck at are:

fellow Scubaboard members/classified section

E-Bay

Scubatoys Good prices on new and they also have even better prices on ther 'demo'/used gear section.

Leisurepro

...now keep you expectations realistic on E-Bay......a good starter BC is the Zeagle Ranger (Zeagle also makes female BC's) the Ranger and other Zeagles are pretty common, giving you lots of shopping/bidding chances as there's usually a pretty good selection of those on E-Bay all the time......spend some time on E-Bay and you will get a feel for the realistic market price, which may be a bit higher than your ideal target price.

We have a Scuba Max and a Sherwood BCD, both for under $200 each. They are both great BCDs and sound exactly like what you are looking for. Dive Gear 4 Less BCDs Let me know if I can answer any questions for you.

They look new. I have one of the Scubamax 5000 bcs. Bought it for my son. It is a decent bc. the backplate on it is a bit on the light side but it works. It is not a top of the line bc but it is ok for occaisional diving, It also packs up fairly well. For the price it is a good deal. I presonally would stay away from weight integrated and get a better non integrated and spend a couple bucks on a weightbelt. One with pockets. Everything would pack up smaller, better quality, and more versatile. I recommend the zeagle express tech to my students. Add a couple drings and I replaced the plastic buckel with a steel one and still under 275. add a pocket weight belt (25-30 bucks) and you are good to go.

I'm going to check one of those out at the OWU show this weekend in Rosemont, I want to see what size I'd need. I'm looking for a warm water travel BC myself.

i have a mares journey i'd be totally willing to sell for $200. 21 dives on it, mostly fresh water. the only problem is that it's in storage at my brother's, but i've asked him to get it out for me. it's a weight-integrated back inflate.
