Hello tec friends
I am PADI-DSAT trimix diver & PADI MSDT, Korean aged 35, and working for a diving shop in Cebu, Philippines.
I love tec diving, and get boiled of recreation diving. Do you have any idea where I can binge on tec diving and make money (just enough for basic life)? I speak English, Japanese, and Korean. If you have any idea, give me some tips. Thank you very much.

There is always a market for divemasters (if you are an instructor even better) in the carribean and mexico (mexico has some caves that are more technically oriented). After that I think that the east coast of canada and the US has the most tech diving spots. Florida with the caves, and then the ST. Lawrence river with its wrecks. Not to much though especially with the off season in the winter. Hope this helps.

You might also look at the Egyptian Red Sea. More and more operators are offering technical diving there.

Regards,

Phil

have a look at the Playa del Carmen are in Mexico, mostly cave diving there, so there is always room for people who teach deep etc.

Hi Mark,

When I visit Playa I was told that it is very hard to get a work permit, and that you need to stay in the country for 6 mont without working. Did things changed?

yeah, you need a work permit, but it really isnt that hard to get, all you need is a company to employ you and provide you with the appropriate documentation. It is pretty easy to find an immigration lawyer to help too if you dont speak enough spanish to do the legal stuff. Last I heard, the FM3 cost less than 200 bucks.
