My course took 1 week . Monday through Friday 6 pm to 930pm.
Then Sat & Sun. at the lake . I dove to 85' that night. So i agree get your training local if possible and then either go do your refferal in Aussie land or if so inclined go dry.
Go for it so ya can get more diving in prior to trip. Then you will have the comfort level and confidence not to mention C-card and dives in your log book. Which in some places can result in only being able to go on supervised dives. Just a thought as I understand it. I am no expert but this would be my assumption from all I have heard.I try to be a sponge with everything I learn . So sometimes I get it faster than most and other times to fast for myself. If I am off base here anyone please let me know. I surely do not want to give poor or at worst DIS information.
