Hello,

Going to St. Thomas on 1/9/07. Wondering if i could get some input on where I should go diving. Thanks!

This certainly the place to ask....more help to come soon. Until then, welcome to ScubaBoard!

Welcome to the board. And I ditto CS. I used his shop and was pleased as well. There is also a shore dive there called Coki Beach

It does help with discussions if you complete your Profile. And it's even more fun when you load an Avatar (personal pic for each post) and a Profile pic. See UserCP to access these if you'd like to...?

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: and be careful about posting Threads & Replies without reading the Stickies at the tops of most forums. Click the link in my Sig below to PM me if I can help you around here..

My wife & I did our last open water certification dives with Admiralty Dive Center, which is located at a Holiday Inn in the capital city of St. Thomas (? Charlotte Amalie?) Spring of '06 on our honeymoon. I did a private charter, so Marty (he & his wife are the owners) & Duana (our Dive Master/Instructor) could work just with the 2 of us.

We were very pleased and impressed. Before we got there my wife was initially ill at ease (probably because of my 'certify or bust' attitude), and they REALLY did a great job of comforting her and she had lots good to say about the experience.

I'm not familiar with the other local dive operators; I can just share our experience with this one, and that our Scuba Instructor recommended them.

Richard.

P.S.: It was our first dive in the ocean, a 2 tank reef dive.
