The Hawaiian Islands are such a unique place to dive because of the unique species found in our waters. We are one of the most isolated chain of islands found in entire the world, therefore, nearly 24% of our inshore fishes are endemic to Hawaii (found no where else in the world). This makes the diving experience not only unique to new divers but experience divers as well. At Deep Ecology Dive Shop, located on the North Shore of Oahu, has been working towards active conservation efforts of the aquatic life for over 10 years.
We would like to invite divers of all experience levels to come help us with these efforts, while learning new skills that you can apply else where in your dive travels. Come learn about the green sea turtles of Hawaii and join us in our monitoring efforts. Participate in our PADI Coral Identification and Monitoring Distinctive Specialty Course from our in-house coral specialist and assist with our coral monitoring efforts. Also, learn fish identification that is unique to Hawaii and assist with with our long term monitoring efforts.
We believe that knowledge is power, and this is key to our on-going conservation efforts. Come join for a unique dive experience. Why not have a holiday that you know you also contributed to making a difference?
