looking for diving buddies and friends, chicagoland area

hi everyone
i am new to scubaboard.
i have been a diver for a long time but for some reason the last few years got away from me with NO dives. I am now looking at going to the carribbean, cannot decide between curacao (habitat curacao) or cayman brac. both trips look great, just not sure about the accommodations at habitat curacao.
anyway, looking for friends, buddies in the chicagoland area--i am on NW side of city, close to north suburbs where i spend lots of time!
i am not super interested in diving the quarries/lakes around here, did that many years ago and now prefer the warm carribbean waters.
any suggestions on where to find dive buddies to go on trips with would be great. just cant wait to taste the salty waters!!

The Chicago Scuba Meetup Group (Chicago, IL) - Meetup.com may be a good resource. A lot of the discussion is about Lake Michigan wreck diving, but there have been warm water trips in the past and there is interest in such trips.
