Hi! I'm planning a trip to Bonaire with a group of friends, who are all getting certified for the first few days of the trip. I'd like to meet some people to dive with for the first few days...anyone interested?

gpark,

Hi, hope they're the bookwork in Colorado and only doing the open water in Bonaire. It would be a shame to lose a couple days doing bookwork in Bonaire especially if you're only staying a week. If they are only doing their open water in Bonaire you should hang out with them, take video so you can make fun of them later after they've had about 50 dives or so.
You should mention where you are staying and get more responses. We'll be at Capt Dons but doing am boat dives with an occassional afternoon or evening/nite dive on the house reef.

hello gpark. ill be in bonaire at that time also. ill be taking my aow w/dive friends and i am looking for a buddy also.

I'll be in Bonaire again November 6th through the 20th. But - I turn 67 on November 21st. Two years ago I was pretty frenetic and covered a lot of ground on my dives. This time I plan on much more sedate dives so I might not be the best buddy for you young guys. Also, I dive mostly solo though that's not an absolute. PM me if you want any information on dive sites or things I found helpful.

nectar, I grew up in East McKeesport. Where in Pgh are you located?

Go Steelers! i went to school in Bethel Park. Small world. Happy bday!

Yeah!!! And the Penguins as well.

Hi! Yeah, they're all planing to do the e-learning, but the course is still 3 days long. I'll definitely take some video and pictures on their open water dives :)

I'll be staying at Blue Divers resort, and I'm hoping to do shore dives but am open to doing boat/guided dives. I like going at a pretty relaxed pace, so a "sedate" dive would probably work well for me!

Has anyone done a UV dive? Would anyone be interested in setting one up in November?

Yeah, I did one boat dive last time I was there. That was enough. Shore dives for me for sure. As far as UV, I was definitely interested in doing one. PM me when you get there (I won't have a cell but should have Wi-Fi). An alternate method of contact would be to call Coco Palm Garden (599 717-2108) and ask them to put a note on my door.

gpark,

I don't have access to my dive log at the moment, Pam cleaned house and rearranged everything, but if you do any boat dives make sure it's on Klein Bonaire, I believe I liked the North side better or on Bonaire, Rappel is awesome. None of these dives can be reached by shore.
