Hey all, I'm new to this forum and very new to diving.
In fact, I'm going to my classes next weekend and will be freshly certified before Halloween.

But I'm working on a documentary that takes place in the Florida Keys, and requires diving about 45-60 ft under.
As I discussed this with my film teacher, he suggested that I get a master-diver to accompany me and film for me, since I will be so focused on just diving. He told me that it would take me about a year to feel confident in diving, and even then he said it would take some time to juggle diving and filming.

So, with that said, the film is taking place in the Florida Keys! Any divers near that area?
It is a student film, so there wouldn't be a lot of pay, but I would arrange to compensate anything spent on the diver's voyage with me, that includes transportation, meals, and hotel stay if needed.
The diver(s) will be credited for this film - And it will be submitted to festivals all over the country!
My team is coming from Savannah, GA - so if you are enroute from the east side of GA to the Keys, we would be willing to pick you up or make you a part of our transportation convoy.

Please message me for further details!

Are you looking for someone to be a cameraman or a dive model ? Either way, should be fairly easy to find in the Keys.

Depending on how many dives you actually do, the dive conditions and your natural comfort level in the water, it could take a year to become a competent diver and camera operator. However, it could be much shorter as well.

When are you going and do you have all of the video equipment that you will need?

I am in Savannah, well stationed at Fort Stewart actually, and would not mind meeting up with you to assist, an if possible make it down to help with the filming depending on the needs of the Army at the time.

Hey guys - The date, at the moment, is looking like the last weekend in October (weather depending)
If you have further questions, PM me.

Hey all - I am finished with the first half of my scuba open-water lessons!
I still need to do an actual open-water dive, but that will come soon enough.

I am working on a film for my environmental filmmaking class involving the Neptune Memorial Reef.
We need money to fund our trip to Miami, which covers boat and equipment rentals, and caring for a crew of over 8 people from Miami and some from outside of it.
(Caring for means hotel stays, meals, transportation and gasoline, etc)

Its also for any emergencies we may face during our trip, including lung over-expansion, decompression sickness, or any environmental inflicted injury that may cause us to delay our trip.
Also covering any equipment damage or emergency rentals.

Please guys, help me out - Anything you can donate is appreciated! Every bit of it helps - NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. That means even $1 amounts are appreciated (yes, the more the better, but I understand the times being what they are).
This is a project for school, but its also a very personal project, as I have longed to see the Memorial for a long time - So, for me, this is a dream come true.
