Looking for a tropical dive destination with good high-speed access

Hi Folks,

I'm looking for suggestions for a dive destination that has quality, inexpensive high speed access at hotels... the reason being that I'm going to be off and on a project that I'll be working remotely - my employer doesn't care if I'm in DC or in Cozumel. The catch is that I have to put in an "eight hour day". I would have the weekends and late afternoons/evenings to dive.

Any suggestions?

You can certainly head down to the Keys and easily have your needs met. Hawaii was the first place that came to mind, but that's quite a haul from VA. Both places have lots of resorts/hotels that have high speed internet, and if you shop carefully you can find places that offer it free.

Grand Cayman is pretty much all high speed access. Dialup is being phased out. For example, the Mariott Courtyard advertises free in-room high speed access:

If you get a VOIP phone or phone adapter, you can even use it to make "local" calls back to the states while in "da islands"

Cabo san lucas has Baja Dive www.baja-dive.net located in The Costa real Cabo. There is a Internet cafe about 100 ft. from the shop. great summer Diving.80 to 90 ft. vis and water temps of 80 to 85.
