I understand your wanting to use an existing camcorder, but TRV is pretty archaic in video these days. You might have been able to find a housing for it 5 yrs ago, but not today. The best you could do is attempt to modify a housing or contact someone like Top Dawg and see if it will fit in any of their housings.
I don't think it would be the best use of your $$ though... get something new with better resolution. Just my 2 cents.

My recommendation is: buy a new camcorder and don't waste your money for this one. If it fits into a universal housing like the Topdawg it is maybe Ok if you can siwtch to a new model later on with the same housing.

We can customize a housing for your TRV-308 if you are looking to stay with that camera. We would just need you to send us the camera and we will get the housing done for you in 2-3 business days and have everything shipped back to you. Let me know if I can help.

I would think you may want to go with a newer camera, especially if you are thinking about going with a custom housing for instance. The camera you have now would be very hard to replace if you have a housing built for it. If you are on a tight budget I would recommend a less expensive newer sony mini dv model for under $300.00. From that point there are 3 housings you would probably want to look at for under that $1000.00 price point. Ikelite, Top Dawg or Equinox--all are good units I would just suggest sitting down and thinking about what you are looking to do with your footage and then find the positives and negatives of each housing and match it up to your needs. Feel free to stop by our site to take a look at some of the options you have for new cameras.

Good luck in your search.
