Looking for a Diving Buddy in Southern Ontario

Hey All,

I am looking for a dive buddy to dive on weekends and I am willing to travel east to Brockville and Kingston area's and if anyone is interested in some shore dives ie: Condastoga (Torpedo Dive) or getting on a charter boat out of Brockville Scuba Shop. Weekends are the only time I can get out for diving and if you are interested, I am pretty accomodating.

If you are interested in diving and are willing to dive in the Kingston, Brockville or Prescott area we can meet? If you know of other places up in your area we can dive there also? As my original post stated, I am pretty accommodating to the location. Weekends are the only time for me but if you want to dive, I am sure we can find a place close enough to both of our current locations. Let me know when you get a chance and if you are interested in diving Saturday August 16?

Hi Rodney,

Saturday the 16th sounds promising; I can confirm that one this
evening. I'm self-employed and have to check staff availability for
that Saturday.

I am will to travel for diving. I haven't done any diving in Ontario
yet, as I just got certified in February, in Cuba. I have been
snorkeling all my life and just love being in the water.

Sounds like you probably know more about where to dive than I do, so
if you are happy to choose the venue, I'll go along with it.

I'm scouting around up here to find some decent dive sites, I here
that Burleigh Falls is worth a look, and also Fenelon falls

How about this one?
"Another option for you being in Haliburton wolud be Clear Lake in Miner's Bay, Clear Lake Rd off Hwy 35. Easy access from the Rd. Entry at the west end of the lake, heading due north at 28 ft, 1930's car (in front of fist boat house). on the south side of the bay 40ft, rock wall and overhang/caves. Easy entry / exit. Being a thermocline lake be prepared for cold, 20 ft 55, 40 ft 45, 50 ft 39."

Well, I didn't hear from anyone wanting to look at Clear Lake, Miners' Bay, so I went along anyway, just to see if I could find it. Google maps puts the lake on the wrong side of hwy 35, it's actually on the East side of the hwy. If you are coming North towards Miners' Bay, it's the only right hand turn, and is immediately after the Miners Bay Lodge. Proceed along Clear Lake Rd, past the first lake you come to(Round Lake), then about 3kms further along on your right is a very small parking area, 911 number is 1189, and tada! there's a beautifully clear lake with vis down to about 30 feet from shore.
Surface temp was 72F. Locals told me that the 30' car is on your right, just before the first boat house.

I'm hoping to get a dive there, as soon as I can buddy up with someone.

Hi Water Department, If you are interested in diving Clear Lake with Smiffy6four and I on Saturday August 16th you are more than welcome. We are in the midst of choosing Clear Lake or Bruleigh Falls but once a decision is made, we'll advise you and see if you are interested. If you do not wish to participate in this dive, then possibly in the future as the season is far from over. I am diving on Sunday August 17 on a charter in Brockville which has just come about with my Brother. If you and Smiffy are interested let me know and I will check for availabiliy on the boat, I know one dive is to the Lilly Parson, the other I will find out.
