I'm relatively new to diving and live in Navarre Fl. Looking for a buddy to dive with in the Navarre area. I'd dive more, but I don't like going alone and it's kind of awkward finding someone on a boat you don't know. If you're interested let me know.

You're in the extreme West panhandle of Florida... I've lived in Florida since 61 (or was it 60?) and had to look it up. I take it, that you do mostly ocean diving? I live in Suwannee County, which is N Central Fl.

Is that what they call the Redneck Riviera?

Mostly gulf, shore and some boats when I have the $ lol

Yep as redneck as you can get :)

It looks absolutely beautiful.

Have you asked at the dive shops in Destin & P'cola? Perhaps they can point you to a good buddy. I've taken charters with Emerald Coast in Destin among others, and have had good buddies, but was just lucky. There is a Gulf dive club somewhere in the area too, perhaps the shops can get you a contact there.
The panhandle is also called LA, as in Lower Alabama (AL was cheated out of a lot of shoreline they say). I've also heard it called the (Florida's) Tundra. "Redneck Riviera" I believe is reserved for the Miss. Coast, while inland Miss. may be called "In Thar".
Shore diving goes to pot West of Gulf Shores, AL due to low viz from Mobile Bay and the Miss. River.
Another thought is try posting in Deep Dixie Divers under US--S.E. US. I've found a couple of buddies that way.

Well I would say I am in but you are about 4 and half hours from me. I can tell you when they make trips out, H2O Below is a great dive boat out of Pensacola. I have dove with them before and they go to all the good locations like the Oriskany, New Venture, and all the other good ship wrecks and sunken ships. I live in Central Mississippi and dive down near the Mississippi Gulf Coast and it’s sometimes good on Vis and then other times it’s horrible, especially if the Mississippi River gets high and a lot of silt gets brought down into the Gulf.

I plan on one day soon trying to get to Gulf Coast, AL and diving the whiskey wreck as soon as my regular dive buddy gets time to go

I'm in Enterprise AL, and go to Morrison springs when I just need to get in the water for it's own sake, and shore dive the St. Andrews jetties... Looking to find more easy locations. I have a 13 y.o. that's already OW and a 10 y.o. that's going to start in the next couple months. I'll be out of the water for a few weeks, but after that I'm game. PM me if that sounds like what you're after!
Respectfully
James
