I was looking at a Sealife DC500... I'm good with a regular digital camera, but I've never tried underwater photography before. Would this be a good choice, or is there something similar that's maybe a little cheaper? I'm kind of klutzy, so a really really nice camera is out of the question. Plus I have a slightly small budget. xP

Hi! Welcome to the slippery slope of underwater photography!

I have the dc500 and love it. I am not a photograper and it is easy to use
I took these in Lake Geneva and Lake Wazee

Do a search on this camera, it's been discussed mutitudes of times.

It's a cheap camera in a nice rubberized housing. But you give up much much in quality and freedom, that could be obtained at the same price (~$400-500), with a Oly/Cannon/Sony/Nikon point and shoot in housing for that camera model in a factory housing. PLUS you get a top notch land camera which will be of much higher quality than the SeaLife brand.

It's not that it's a bad rig, but there are much better alternatives.
