Wow... I joined in 2010 and promptly forgot about it!

Well, I'm a commercial diver by trade; I also have a handy scientific diver certification and I'm a PADI Divemaster. It's been an interesting time since becoming a professional diver, but it was well worth it! I also run Cold Water Diver, one of the fastest growing weekly diving blogs and underwater photo archives out there, in addition to my sole proprietorship, GB Diveworks.

I'm looking forward to more interaction with the scuba community here!
 
Hey BcDiver. I'm new to dining and just getting few dives under my belt.
Wanted to ask u about some cold water dives.
Water in the bay is about 10degrees C and I never dive in this waters before. What kind of suit u recommend using.
I generally get cold and considering that most of the time it gets windy as well as soon as u come out.

If you get cold easily, you're going to want to get a drysuit. A double layer 7mm wetsuit might work as a stopgap, but a 4mm crushed neoprene or 5mm neoprene drysuit with a decent set of long underwear or a puff suit will serve you better in the long term.
 
Thank for replying. I ended up getting a 6mm semi and a shotry on top and managed to stay pretty toasty in 14c water. I recon it will be good to about 10-12c and then I'll step into dry.
