Hi, I'm finally fed up with my fins, which have never fitted right since I started diving.

I have fairly large (size 11-12) feet, but they're pretty narrow. In most fins I've tried, I end up with my toes crushed if I get the fins tight enough not to wobble around.

Can anyone suggest a pair (make or model) that might have a foot pocket more suitable. I'm looking for open fins not full foot.

Cheers,

J.

I had the same problem looking for fins (and booties). The booties you use will make a big difference here. All of the booties I used were either too wide or too short.

For me the size 11 Henderson Hyperstretch (no zipper) booties fit the size XL scubapro jetfin very well. If you use a bootie with a thin sole maybe the fit will be too loose. With the Henderson booties the fit is snug but not constricting. I use spring straps because I had some trouble with the orignal straps coming undone.

Whatever you decide you should see if you can try on the combination at a LDS near you.

The zipperless bootie is good but has one problem. It doesn't dry very well. Without stuffing it full of paper or something like that it won't even dry in a week!
