Reminder, our September Seminar is this Thursday, September 25th, 8PM
at the Nassau University Medical Center Amphitheater. Owing to the
upcoming Film Festival (tickest now available on the LIDA web site)
and the holiday season, this will be the last seminar in 2008. We
will resume our monthly seminars in January.

Just in time for Blackfish season, LIDA welcomes Matt Sasso, local
diver, instructor, and avid spearfisherman, to show us the ins and
outs of being a great underwater hunter. Learn the techniques to
catching bigger fish with greater regularity. For the novice, this
presentation will introduce you to the great opportunities we have on
Long Island for spearfishing, and the equipment, skills, and
techniques needed to bring home a catch. For the experienced
spearfisherman, this is an opportunity to find out the tips and
tricks of one of the most experienced and proficient underwater
hunters in the region. For all divers, this presentation will help
you develop skill to enhance your diving, allowing more intimate
encounters with marine creatures.

FREE to LIDA members, $5.00 for all others. Please note, vehicles
parked in the NUMC parking facility are subject to parking fees,
currently a maximum of $5.25 to closing.

Visit Long Island Divers Association to download the flyer for
more information, and directions.
