I just use MS Excel.

I had a paper one that was just an old Filo agenda. I just buy blank pages and print them from a template I made in MS Word.

If you wanted something in A5 format you should be able to buy a binder the right size at any stationary store for a couple of bucks and then just print two templates per page-side and just cut them in half.

good suggestion. i'm more interested in finding the book itself though. the zippered, enclosed ones seemed to be in the $25-30 range where I looked.

Hey Diver0001...

I'm interested in an electronic version myself... haven't found any fillable pdfs on the web that I like; what would it take to get a copy of your excel one?

I don't have Diver0001's, but (ScubaBoard member) Kidspot also posted a dive log page. You can view it at http://www.kidspot.org/personal/scuba/logbook.html

I download my dive computer into SUUNTO's dive manager software. You can download it free, and manually enter your dives if you wish to. Naturally, they hope it will lead you to buy a SUUNTO computer.

I just carry aroynd the orange log replacements, no binder or cover no nothing.

I like cheddar's very good (med-western) approach of Wal-Mart....very good suggestion

just FYI - the replacement log inserts I am talking about are as follows:

http://www.scuba.com/shop/product.asp?category=137&fromsearch=1&hashvalue=057051

or you can get a pocket log book or el-cheapo log book:

http://www.scuba.com/shop/product.asp?category=120&fromsearch=1&hashvalue=030004

ooooh ooooh...you guys rock....

Combine Cheddar's advice with Blade's advice and you got the frugal diver's logbook package

Please note that A5 is just a paper size slightly larger than our US 8.5 x 11 paper size.

Most likely he would be interested in the US 8.5 x 11 paper size binder.

so.....can you share your excel dive log file with us?

I'll try to get it up this weekend. BTW, A4 paper is about the same size as 8.5x11. A5 is 1/2 of an A4.
