Hello,

I'm looking for advice on liveaboards in the Pacific Islands. By live-aboard standards, I'll be on something of a budget, hoping to spend not much more than $200 a day.

Preferably around Fiji or Vanuatu, as these are the easiest for me to get to, but open to suggestions all around the Pacific Islands...

Any recommendations?

Cheers,

Laura

I recommend that you prepare to be disappointed in your search.

You are not going to make it on a Liveaboard at that 200 dollar daily rate you are budgeting.
Dancerfleet Fiji 2795 for 7 days = 399 per day
Aggressor Palau 2935 for 7 days = 419 per day
Aggressor Kona 2635 for 7 days = 376 per day
Naia Fiji 3297 for 7 days = 471 per day

Most liveaboards average 5 dives a day so on the Kona Aggressor for example that would average 75 dollars per dive. Most dive shops average 170 dollars for a 2 tanker and you still need a room and meals. So as you can see a liveaboard is economically a good idea if it is a DIVING vacation. No long boat rides and you are on many sites not accessible to day boats.
