Can you stretch to three nights?
You can dive Ribbon Reefs and Cod Hole departing from Cairns in Queensland.
Spoilsport and Spirit of Freedom include a low-level flight out to Lizard Island to meet the boats.
These are both top class boats.

For short 1 or 2 night trips out of Cairns you wont beat OceanQuest or Scubapro.
But for the best I agree with OnTheSpot. The Cod Hole and Coral Sea trips are the best and I would rate Spirit of Freedom, Mike Ball, then Taka as the ones to look at
