There is no such liveaboard on the US East Coast.

You can certainly find private yachts that may take you on... but even that may be difficult given that many of the private yachts are not set up for diving (either they lack a compressor, don't have a good platform or water entry/exit etc...) I once found a perfect boat that had a compressor and a great dive platform and ladder, but when I inquired about paying for a dive charter, the owner told me they wouldn't take divers because they didn't want to risk "messing up" the boat. The interior was immaculate and didn't have a scratch on it. After much effort and many assurances on my part... the answer was still no.

I have thought about buying a yacht and offering east coast liveaboard trips but I don't have the funding right now... maybe in the future... Best of Luck!

Are you looking for a liveaboard that leaves from Florida? If so that limits your choices; I've heard good things about the Nekton boats and the Juliet. Both of those boats leave from florida and visit the bahamas. Blackbeards is a good value, but they leave out of freeport, GB and the conditions are like camping at sea. The only boat that I can personally recomend is Caribbean Explorer 1, br Explorer Ventures. They leave out of Georgetown, GE and visit Long Island, Conception Island, and San Salvador. Its a very nice boat and is a pretty good value at 995pp for the week. If you have any more questions PM me.

He inquired about a vessel from DelMarVa... thats the Delaware, Maryland & Virginia area. As I said... there is no such creature. An East Coast liveaboard that went from The Carolinas to the Andrea Doria would be terrific... but I don't know if it could draw enough business to run every week... then there is the weather... but I'd dive it!

THanx,I'm looking more for US East Coast and not cattleboats.I found 1 boat that had 8 divers max but most were 14 to 20 or more. The going rate seems to be around $200 to $250 per day.The Bahamas are nice but don't allow spearfishing.

Try www.atlantischarters.net

I go out with them every summer. Not only do they allow spearfishing... it's a ritual... and you can't beat the boat... it's run as a six-pack... but it's big enough to take many more. Captain Bobby Edwards and Renate Eichenger are the best of East Coast - Graveyard of the Atlantic diving. The day rate for the boat is about $700... so about $115 per person if you fill the boat. I've got one spot left in August on my charter if you're interested. Three days of diving... $345... let me know

Have you looked at the liveaboards for the Flower Garden Banks? There are several operations that provide service
