Liveaboard Brothers (Ras Mohamed), Sharm or Hurghada?

Two years ago I did a deep south trip from Port Ghalib. The next trip should focus on the Brothers (and maybe Ras Mohamed). I would like to combine it with a few days landbased diving. But I have a few questions.

1) Which has better landbased diving, Hurghada or Sharm El Sheikh?
2) Which boats are there that offer Brothers or Brothers & Ras Mohamed trips?
3) Is there a season in which the chance is higher to see Thresher sharks?

1. Sharm
2. I've done that on Blue Melody, however it was a slightly adjusted trip. Thistlegorm wasn't normally part of the itinerary, but the weather was nice and everyone wanted to dive it, so ...
3. Summer and fall for threashers @ brothers.
