Hello all-
I'm going on my 2nd offical dive trip for my birthday next weekend. We'll be driving to the lake (Bull Shoals) and then getting into 2 houseboats and diving from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. I'm a new diver- just got my OW and dove in Mexico a few weeks ago (really loved it). I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions- I've never been on a liveaboard boat before- anything I should take that I wouldn't normally know about? They provide all the weights, tanks, air, food, etc and there are 4 instructors going out of 15 people so I'm in good hands. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

Backup of anything you may have (mask, lights, etc..) extra batteries for anything that uses them. You might want to make sure someone brings oxygen just incase.

Bull Shoals in Arkansas?

I wondered that too being that my home town is El Dorado.

Ginger or Darmaine or something for seasickness. Some people get it on freshwater that might not get it on the ocean due to the different waves.

Edit: Have a grea trip...An post a trip report when you get back.

You will have a great time. I just did my DC work on Table Rock July 14 thru the 16. I'll bet the Dive Shop renting the houseboat takes care of the O2 and stuff like that

There isn't a lot of room. You will want to take a couple of towels, check about the bedding you may want to take your own pillow and a blanket, sunscreen of course, good book, iPod or something similar. We take a cooler with some water or juice or coke and ice. The food is provided but not everything. You might want to think about a 2nd mask.

When you get there check and see if there are wagons to use to move your gear to the boat. So much easier than packing it down (lesson I learned on my 1st trip to TRL)
