How would you choose?

The X1 is time-tried favourite of many. Robust (metal casing) and compact. No chance of flooding. Choice of algorithm. Can be upgraded with CCR interface. Drawbacks (only relative to XEO) are mono and smaller display and non-user replaceable battery.

How would you choose?

Well, I think there are two discriminators . . . one is price, and the other is program. As of now, a VPM-based program is not available for the Xeo. If you are okay with Buhlmann and gradient factors, then the Xeo is fine, but if you want a bubble model, the X1 is your choice.

Some people also prefer the replaceable battery (and it would be nice, honestly, sometimes, not to have to remember to charge the thing).

Having dived with both, the color display has a bit of an edge on instant interpretation.

Thank you, TSandM. For those who have used Xen, how do you find the plastic casing holding up?
