Hello,

I just returned from a diving trip in Puerto Rico from December 24, 2009 through January 3, 2010. I will be posting a trip report later.

I just wanted to quickly mention that we saw a lionfish at the Andrea's dive site.

These are definitely spreading.

More to follow.

We dove La Parguera in May with West Divers, and can't wait to go back. Looking forward to your trip report.

As an advance, who did you dive with, since reportedly West Divers is closed?

Thanks!

I only saw one lionfish. We did not have anything to trap it. We were told that the standard practice is to capture and kill them.

We dove off Aguadilla (Crashboat, Naturales) in November and saw numerous lionfish, including a number of juveniles in the 2 to 3 inch long size range, so they are reproducing there for sure.
